Author: Julie

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes (Plus 1 hour refrigeration)
  • Cook Time: 4 minutes
  • Servings: 25 pieces

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cube the butter and add it to a large microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Next, add the peanut butter and microwave for two minutes.
  3. Stir the ingredients and return to the microwave and cook for two more minutes. (Use caution, the bowl and food will be hot).
  4. Next, pour the vanilla extract into the bowl and mix well.
  5. Pour the powdered sugar into the bowl and stir until the powdered sugar is combined. The mixture should be very thick.
  6. Press the mixture into the 8-inch by 8-inch square pan. First lining the pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil will make removal much easier.
  7. Refrigerate for one to two hours. Cut into small pieces.

**Storage**

Store the fudge in an air-tight container and keep it at room temperature. It can be stored for up to 3 weeks. Never store fudge in the fridge as the cold will draw out moisture. This will result in a hard, crumbly consistency.
